Bucket List
As I am shortly to reach an age of 42 earth-years in 2011, I felt it time to set goals that are actually attainable, and worthy of the effort.
Why am I doing this?
After telling family about medical details discovered in early 2009 that I have had my whole life, my father proceeded to tell me about an interesting movie called ‘Bucket List’. So I googled the words, only to discover that many people have been setting their own ‘bucket-lists’ for many years.
So using a combination of a few, here is my list of projects/goals/activities I want to achieve before I kick that proverbial bucket:
TRAVEL
~ Trek or Cycle around Vietnam before the end of 2013
~ Trek or Bus around the United Kingdom before the end of 2015
~ Go to New Zealand again, this time with a digital camera in each hand instead of 40rolls of film like we did ten years ago!
HEALTH / FITNESS
~ Regularly spend 30mins a day on the Exercise-bike, and jog/walk for 30mins. ~ STARTED: 28th December 2010.
PHOTOGRAPHIC ACTIVITIES
~ Join the AIPP - DONE!
~ Organise my 2011 SALA photography exhibition. Delayed until 2012
~ Attend a local camera club on the premise to join at a later date. Done, but not joining.
~ Renovate my shoffice (shed + office) into a schtudio (shed + office + photo studio). This I have been saying for the last few years – it is going to happen in 2011!
~ Produce and sell a book of photography, via Blurb.
ADVENTURE / RISK / CHALLENGE / FUN
~ Water ski on a single ski with a dry-land start. Yeah, have had a few opportunities over the last 30years, yet piked at the last moment.
~ Deliver a comedy performance somewhere in Adelaide.
~ Publish a book of my poetry. More on this later.
That’s it so far. The list will change, plus will be amended regularly.
My next main project is to set up a ‘Monthly Projection Chart‘ whereby I set up mini goals that be started and completed each month of the year. Several of the items above will be pushed into that spreadsheet.
I’ll post articles on each as I complete them, and will cross them out and date them accordingly. I may even add them to the grand bucket list!
Let the fun begin!
