What do Zombie Photographers Wear?

28/Oct/09 Leave a comment

What a weird collection of images I have created today!

This afternoon in my drug-induced state (read: Sudafed to help remedy a head/nose cold) whilst taking it easy at home, I created an text-image based on words used to describe my activity during the ZombieWalk earlier this month:

“I shoot dead people.”

I know, I know, it’s not exactly a pretty statement. Yet that is what we were doing: Photographing Adelaide people dressed in outfits that could only be described as the ‘living dead‘, more often known as ‘Zombies’.

So that got me thinking. I had already made one T-shirt that said I am a professional zombie photographer, but it was too rigid and straight-forward. What I really needed was a shirt that would make people laugh inwardly and cringe when reading it. This design seems to fit those specifications perfectly!

Here they are all together in one gallery of “Zombie Ztuff“. Below is an amusing description to each product currently in the gallery.

I’ve created a tshirt that enables professional photographers to mingle with the living dead whilst shooting zombies and their weird activities.

But that is not where it ends, no way. For all those groupies, lighting crew and photo-assistants who just have to look the part: Here is the sticker to slap on your tripod, on your shirt, plus camera-cases.

When the day is over, you’ll want to drink a coffee or tea to soothe the mind. Shooting mindless zombies is tiring, we know. So buy a mug that lets you tell everyone you shoot dead people.

Still talking photography and editing, I also took a few minutes to put the whole world into my eyes:

Clothing for the Masses

Are you about to push that BUY/VIEW button for one of my photographer or funny shirts ?

I can personally testify that all t-shirts on my gallery are very warm, feel good against skin, and wash without shrinking! I have a 2 short sleeve and 2 l/sleeve shirts, and they still look as good as the day I bought them. (Heck, I’m wearing one right now!) I’m about to purchase yet another to promote myself a LOT more. (Plus a few funny ones from other artists over the next few months.)

Upon purchase, they may take up to four weeks to arrive, and the time-frame may extend depending on how busy Redbubble gets closer to Xmas. Last year they had a mad panic of sales in November which blew out a lot of expectations … but everyone got their sales without any hiccups!

For what it’s worth, I don’t make much profit from my shirt-sales. I’ve set my margin much lower than the standard set by Redbubble — because I don’t believe shirts should be highly priced.

You see, I decided when I got into this game that the T-shirt-business is just a sideline to the REAL hobby, photography. Yet, and amusingly, I sell more shirts on Redbubble (22 as of tonight) than photography, but photography is my number one passion. Go figure!

You can view more of my t-shirt designs on my Zazzle gallery.

Now you can push that button!

TShirt Sales

25/Jul/09 Comments off

Thanks to the 15% Discount Week running during this week, two of my many shirts were purchased through Redbubble:

Professional Photographer - Find me on Redbubble

Save the World - It is the only one that has Chocolate

Thanks to the two people who purchased them, I bet they enjoy wearing them at every opportunity!

Unfortunately I missed out on buying my favourite shirts this week due to funds tied up in other projects, so I plan to purchase four shirts (with my standard order of cards) over the next few months.

The IE6 Mouse Pad

My IE6 Mouse Pad. Design also appears on T-shirt and Mug.

I have caught the Zazzle-bug. Yeah, I have my own store-front.
I’;m slowly moving all my shirts from my Redbubble gallery (that are not related to photography) over to Zazzle.

This was going to be just another shirt to put onto my Redbubble gallery, but when I discovered that Zazzle do 12-billion different products, I had to edit it slightly and make this image available as a coffee mug, a shirt and a mouse-pad.

View the mouse pad, laugh at it … and then purchase it. Too easy!
