For more than 30 years, the people of Adelaide and the State of South Australia have shown a passionate commitment for providing quality arts experiences for young people.

Adelaide is home to the South Australian Youth Arts Board, the only funding body in Australia expressly dedicated to investing in the arts for young people, and the professional artists who produce work for young people.

The Australian Festival for Young People – known as Come Out Festival – is based in Adelaide and reaches more than 170,000 children and young people. Adelaide-based companies such as Windmill Performing Arts and Patch Theatre Company present top-quality theatre productions throughout Australia and around the world.
