Achieving 500 Viewers per Photograph

My first job for 2010 has been to sort out all the photographs within my Redbubble gallery to show those that are most popular!

The photographs shown below have each received over 500 hits in the last three years, and many are soon to reach 1,000 viewer-hits! This is quite a milestone, and of this fact I am very proud. Most of these have been purchased at least once, and often sell quickly upon arrival at my office!

As you can see, my style really is unique and eclectic. I enjoy photography landscapes more often, with a mix of water-scapes whenever possible. I enjoy finding interesting textures and scenes in the great-outdoors that would otherwise be missed by tourists!

I also enjoy manipulating pixels! Selective layering and re-colouring of images to enhance features is a lot of fun, and a journey I never expected to take. When I first got into photography I used all the features of the camera to extract the colouring, feature and topic. Now I often take shots with a vision to compile into new and interesting imagery.

I enjoy travelling to Kangaroo Island a few times each year to photograph the scenes, the tranquillity, the oceans and anything I can find on farms. For rusting objects, abandoned homes and farm-yard trash, Kangaroo Island has a lot. Oh, and they’re not on the tourist-maps!

Most of my photography is in South Australia, but if you look carefully you’ll spot a few images around NSW and Queensland.

Each of these images links back to my redbubble gallery where you can view larger, plus see how it will appear on a myriad of mediums – from cards to canvas to framed!

Finding rusting tractors, trailers, cars and other farmyard vehicles makes for great photos. But I don’t usually go for the standard shot: I like to climb all over the machinery to find textures, points-of-focus, rust-marks and anything that can be used in compilation photos later.

Being able to shoot pet animals is a lot of fun. With four cats at home, we are always taking photographs of our beautiful kittens posing in both humorous and stylish ways.

What I enjoy most is photographing flowers so as to display the colour, the texture, the ripples in the petals.

Shortly I will display my redbubble photographs that have exceeded 1,000 viewers!
